This summer there are a lot of exciting camps and STEM opportunities that the Air Force Office of Scientific Research are putting together including StellarXplorers.
StellarXplorers is a nonprofit national high school space competition that gives junior high and high school students both hand-on experience and application of their STEM skills. However, with this summer camp the students involved will learn to use Systems Toolkit (STK), a space systems simulation software used by real space professionals, and to learn how to analyze and select satellite orbits and what components to place on the satellite.
The program will be held on August 2nd - 5th from 10:00am - 2:30pm and is open to rising 6th graders to 12th graders.
The link to the application can be found here and an overview of the program can be found here.
Applications are due on May 21, 2021.
