Calling All Students -- School-wide “Soaring” Art Project

While we may all be separated this year, our community of Clermont Eagles is stronger than ever!  To celebrate our students in this unusual year, the PTA is sponsoring a school-wide quilt project, where each student will make one square of a quilt that will be sewn together and displayed in the school for future school years.  We are looking for as many students as possible to participate!  Here's all that needs to be done:

1)Stop by Clermont Elementary during any of the following times to pick up supplies (including quilt piece and instructions):

Wednesday, February 3rd: 9AM-3PM (School Picture Day)

Thursday, February 4th: 4PM-6PM

Saturday, February 6th: 11AM-1PM

Tables will be set up outside along the kiss and ride loop on the side of the building.

2) Have your student decorate their quilt piece with any medium they'd like (markers, paint, thread, you name it!).  Using any supplies you have at home, have your student make this piece their own, incorporating the SOARING theme however they feel is best. 

3) Return the quilt piece to the school anytime between February 12th and February 26th during school hours.  There will be a box inside the front door for you to drop off their item quickly.  You'll just need to buzz into the school and inform the front desk that you are dropping off your quilt piece.  

After the quilt pieces have been returned, our amazing team of volunteer quilters will combine them all into 2-3 large quilts that will be displayed within the school for next school year!

Volunteers Needed!  -  We are looking for additional volunteers to man a table to distribute the individual quilt pieces to parents as they come by to drop their kids off for picture day. All that will be required of these volunteers is to hand a baggy to each student/parent that comes in for picture day. Please reach out to Lisa Marie with any questions at vpoutreach@clermontpta.org. Sign up here!
