Our next virtual PTA Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 4 at 7pm. You must register to attend. Please register here. During our meeting, we're excited to be hosting a presentation by Parent Coach Mary Smith on (Re)Building Boundaries. From Mary: 

During this ongoing pandemic, many parents have coped by easing up to give kids some space. But that often leaves us, as parents, unwittingly feeling angry or resentful. How to get back on track? Boundaries, well, everything in fact, starts with connection. In this talk, I will share how the pandemic impacts mental health and your child's developing brain.

With this framework, you will learn why limit setting feels harder now. You will walk away with simple research-backed parenting strategies to change the family dynamic, and to get everyone back on track with a new set of boundaries: yours and theirs.

Yearbook and Happenings Photo Requests

Thank you for all the submissions last week!  Please see some of our favorite submissions of Clermont siblings. (INCLUDE ATTACHED PHOTOS)

This week's Yearbook/Happenings theme is: SPORTS. During this school year, has your Clermont Eagle participated in any sports?  Feel free to submit a photo of them participating in area sporting teams!  Please ensure that only Clermont Eagles are included in the photos (no children from other schools) and that all children photographed have received parental permission to include their photograph in the yearbook.  Please submit your photo via this link:  https://bit.ly/CESYearbook.  When uploading the photograph, please name the file with your child's first name, last name, and teacher name so we can identify who is in the photograph.

Please note that by sending the photograph in for consideration, you are granting permission to the PTA to publish the photograph in the Clermont yearbook and in other PTA correspondence.

Comment period open for 2021-22 FCPS Calendar

The Fairfax County School Board is currently reviewing two proposed calendars for the 2021-2022 school year. The comment period is currently open, and both proposed calendars are available for review here. 

Quilt Pieces for Clermont Art Project

Thanks to everyone who already picked up their quilt piece!  If you weren't able to stop by the school and pick yours up, don't worry!  Please reach out to your room parent; they will have enough extra pieces for all the kids in their classes who were unable to pick up.  If you do not know who your room parent is or you have any problems, please reach out to vpoutreach@clermontpta.org.

Once you have your quilt piece, don't forget to decorate it and return it to the school!  Starting Friday, February 12th, there will be a container in the lobby of the school labeled QUILT PIECE DROPOFF.  You may stop by anytime during school hours to drop it off.  The container will be there until the end of the day on Friday, February 26th.
