Here's How to Participate in the Neighborhood Safari

Do you remember the 2020 Neighborhood Safari?  Well one year into this new way of life and we are bringing back the concept with a PTA twist!  As we all get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather, have your Eagle decorate your window with Ernie!  Here's how to participate:

Color or decorate the attached Ernie the Eagle (as many as you'd like!)

Tape them in your window or on your door

As you are enjoying the nice weather and walking around the neighborhood, keep your eyes peeled for Eagles in other people's houses!

Snap a photo of your student spotting other people's decorated windows (try not to include the actual house number in the photo).

Send them to vpoutreach@clermontpta.org, and they may be featured in upcoming Happenings!  

Last virtual bingo of the year--May 26!

You've lived it. You've loved it. And you're going to get one last chance this school year to play it. On May 26th at 7pm, join your friends and family for the season finale of Clermont PTA's Mega Bingo! Play for a chance to win the best prizes of the season, hear some of the best jokes of the season (but let's be realistic, the bar wasn't set that high) and compete in the overly-long blackout round! Register here, and remember to mark that free space!

Nominate a Clermont Teacher for Miss Mac Award

Though Clermont is filled with exceptional teachers and staff, an award was established in 2008 to recognize an employee who has gone above and beyond for our students. The Miss Mac award is named in memory of Clermont kindergarten aide Ashley McIntosh. Please consider nominating a deserving Clermont staff member by completing this form. Visit this link for more information on the Miss Mac award and its criteria. The deadline for nominations is May 28, 2020.

Clermont Teacher and Staff appreciation week has begun! Every day the PTA is delivering something special to the staff at Clermont for all their hard work during this crazy year.  Stay tuned next week for photos of all the surprises! 

"Flower Shower" on May 6 to Recognize Clermont Teachers

Please mark your calendar for our “Flower Shower” on Thursday, May 6, as our way to shower Clermont’s teachers and staff with flowers to show our gratitude. School is one of the places we see our children bloom so we thought using flowers would show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate the role they play in our children's lives. The PTA will purchase a floral arrangement for the school to be delivered on Thursday of Teacher Appreciation week and displayed in the lobby for all to enjoy, but also we are asking students to draw or create flowers for your teachers. Budding artists, feel free to draw flowers. Builders and makers, design flowers out of household or art supplies. Families may send in small arrangements or any creative idea to participate in our flower shower of gratitude.
