Clermont PTA Early Budget Submissions - NOW OPEN!

We are opening early budget submissions for the 2025-2026 school year. These submissions are for any programs or items that must be purchased between July 1-September 15 before we vote on our full year budget.

The PTA is accepting budget requests until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 16th, and we will be voting on the early budget submissions at the May 21st meeting. Submit your budget request here:

C-Bugs are headed to WORLDS

Our Odyssey of the Mind (OOTM) team, The C-Bugs came in FIRST PLACE this past weekend at state! This remarkable team of 6th graders, who have been together since 1st grade, was one of 237 teams competing in the state regional competitions. They then qualified to be one of the 60 teams to advance to the Virginia Odyssey of the Mind State Championship, where they placed FIRST and earned a spot at the World Championships in Michigan next month. 

Congratulations to The C-Bugs, their coaches Jennifer Jones & Amanda Litvinov, and their families and friends!

HELP TEAM C-BUGS

The C-Bugs have achieved something truly remarkable, and many in our Clermont community have asked how they can show their support. While PTA funds are typically budgeted in advance, we will be proposing—at our Final PTA Membership Meeting of the School Year on May 21st—a vote to reallocate some unused 2025 funds to help offset a portion of the team’s registration expenses, pending membership approval. We welcome your participation in this important decision and encourage all members to attend and vote. 

In addition, the C-Bugs also have a GoFundMe Link to help defray the costs of $4,300 to register the team to go to the OOTM World Finals. None of these costs cover the expense for their families to travel to the competition at Michigan State University nor the hotel, meals, or prop and set transportation costs. Clermont takes 2nd Place!

Congratulations to the Clermont team for winning 2nd place at the Your Best Chess Regional Tournament this weekend! Grades K-6 were all represented and all our chess players did an amazing job.

Clermont Elementary School's Odyssey of the Mind (OOTM) team the C-Bugs (who have been together since 1st grade), are competing in the 2025 OOTM Virginia State Tournament this Saturday at Menchville HS in Newport News, VA. Good Luck Team C-Bugs!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! Clermont's Teacher & Staff Appreciation week is May 5-9, 2025. We have lots in store but need your help! The first few scheduled events are:

Tuesday, May 6th - 6:30-7:30p Join the PTA and decorate the side walk with artwork and well wishes for our teachers and staff. You bring your imagination and PTA will supply the chalk!
